The faceplate measures 25/32" (20.0mm) in width and is constructed to fit standard mortise cutouts. With a backset (the distance from the edge of the faceplate to the center of the handle spindle) of 1-3/4" (44.5mm), it supports straightforward installation in most North American and metric hardware layouts. The handle height is set at 36" (914.4mm), and the bottom hook is located 20" (508mm) from the faceplate end—both critical dimensions for retrofitting or replacing within an existing panel. The mechanism is handed but can be reversed by pulling the latch out and rotating, allowing for use on either left- or right-handed configurations.
