Truth Secondary Home Gard Sash Lock with Black Plastic Cam — Tie Bar Applications

This is a secondary (dummy) top sash lock designed for multipoint casement windows that use a tie bar. It operates in tandem with a primary sash lock that carries the operating lever, so this piece does not include a lever or pin of its own.

The body is high-pressure die-cast zinc with a galvanized steel back plate, and the cam is high-strength black plastic. It is commonly found on windows from Hayfield, Semco, VOS, Vetter, Weather Shield, Crestline, and others.

This is older inventory and may have minor imperfections in the finish. It is sold as-is.

Notes

• Used by Hayfield Windows, Semco, VOS, Vetter, Weather Shield, Crestline, and other window brands.
• Older versions were used with flat bar or wire tie bars, and the plastic cams came in either white or black.
• The white and black cams are different sizes. Both will function as a secondary lock, but replacing a white cam version with this black cam version will also require a new matching keeper.
