The P3000® has 2 gear boxes, one for the deadbolt (Upper) and one for the Spring Latch (Lower)
Sometimes referred to as a Babysitter lock, as the deadbolt works without engaging the upper or lower shootbolts. This makes it easier for individuals who are not familiar with Multipoint locks to lock and unlock the door.
