Housing measures 2-3/8" (60.3mm) long by 11/16" (17.5mm) wide with a 3/8" (9.5mm) grey nylon nose projection. Sold each, left-hand as shown; no thumb button or screw included. Truth Metal Tilt Latch, 2-3/8" Housing, Left Hand — Upper Sash
This is a metal-housed tilt latch used on the upper sash of tilt-in single hung, double hung, and some slider windows. The grey nylon nose retracts to release the sash for cleaning or removal, and returns under spring pressure to lock the sash back into the frame.
Originally supplied on windows from Weather Shield, SNE, Vetter, Crestline, Peachtree, and other builders. The housing is metal with an assorted painted finish, and the nose is grey (Pro Shield Grey) nylon/plastic.
Handing can be confusing on tilt latches. This latch is left hand when viewed from the outside of the window, which some manufacturers list as right hand when viewed from inside. Please compare to the product image to confirm the correct handing before ordering.

- To remove the existing latch: slide the thumb button back, insert a small flat screwdriver under the edge and lift it up, remove the Phillips head screw underneath, and slide the latch out of the sash.

If you need a matching pair, please order two and select the opposite hand for the other side. Measure your existing tilt latch and compare it to the image and dimensions above to make sure this is the correct part before ordering.
