985 Series Single 3/4" Constant Force Coil Balance for Vinyl Windows
The 985 Series Centurion constant force coil balance assembly is designed for use in single hung or double hung vinyl windows. This universal single coil balance features a 3/4" (19mm) thick coil spring and comes pre-assembled for straightforward installation. Built with a metal spring clip and a side-locking brake, this balance fits window pockets measuring 1-1/4" (32mm) wide by 3/4" (19mm) deep, providing reliable support and smooth operation for compatible windows.
This coil balance system is versatile and can be used in various window configurations, including single, double, triple, and quad assemblies. The 985 Series is a suitable replacement for worn or broken constant force balances in many newer and legacy vinyl window brands using similar pocket dimensions. It uses single interlocking coil springs to counterbalance sash weights within the specified range. The window travel supported by this balance is up to 40" (1016mm).
