This is the Amesbury 16-2029UA Active Upper Tongue Assembly, designed specifically for multipoint door locking systems. Engineered for compatibility with doors featuring a 16mm (5/8") faceplate, this upper assembly is a replacement for the active tongue version. It works in tandem with astragals for increased security but is also usable in setups where astragals are not present.

With a croppable extension length of 39-9/16" (100.5 cm), this assembly accommodates various door sizes and configurations. The complete system, when installed with the appropriate lower assembly (see below), supports an overall handle height up to 36" (91.4 cm) and an overall door length of 77" (195.6 cm). The tongue configuration is intended for use with multipoint locks to enhance security and ensure smooth, reliable operation of your door system.
