This heavy duty 1/2" ribbed channel balance is designed specifically for wood double hung tilt-in windows equipped with vinyl jambliners made by Weather Shield, used primarily in premium wood and clad windows produced from 1999 to 2005. The unit features a factory-attached #17 end bracket, color coded in black to indicate its heavy-duty capacity. This balance is not suitable for use in all-vinyl windows, but is engineered for wood windows with vinyl-lined jambs, matching the original specifications for these Weather Shield products.

The channel balances were available in both beige and white finishes to coordinate with jambliners, and bracket color codes help you identify the correct duty strength for your window. This listing specifically covers heavy duty units (black end bracket), which are used in applications requiring extra support for larger or heavier sashes.

If your required size is no longer available in our existing inventory, an alternative part can be found at 620202. Replacement balances are designed to work with most Weather Shield pivot pins, which are available here: left hand cam pivot pin (640015) and right hand cam pivot pin (640016).
